NEW SITE!

Until now, our web presence consisted solely of a sparsely-followed Facebook page and a couple of fairly active Instagram feeds. We are looking forward to having lots of interesting content on here in the weeks and months to come. You can look forward to everything from how-to articles to photos and videos to full-fledged documentation of our bike-builds.

So, please be patient with us as we clean up the rough edges on our site and add more content. We are, after all, bike builders - not web designers...

Follow us on Facebook to keep-up with our constant shenannigans...

What is heartbreak cycleworks?

Somewhere between art and function, melded with innovation and expression, and riding upon two garagebuilt wheels is the world of heartbreak cycleworks. Our world exists through the pure support of the two-wheeled movement; ours and yours.

Whats New at HBCW

  • Embracing Cambering

When the hot humidity of summer gives way to the cooler fall temperatures, the motorcycle riding here in Michigan is in its prime. A nice cool breeze, backed up by warm sunshine, makes for perfect riding weather. Not only do our bikes run better, but we can stop compromising our safety for comfort and put back on our favorite riding jacket!

  • Two for the price of one.

One of the biggest challenges here at heartbreak is saying no. This is especially hard when that "no" applies to taking in another vintage bike in need of love. We have enough bikes on site to keep us busy for years, and space is a constant issue.

  • Travis rides to NC

One of our very best friends, Josh is about to have his nuts removed and placed in the nightstand next to where his future wife will sleep.  To celebrate this travis will be riding his motorcycle to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for Josh's bachelor party. follow the site for updates and many pictures of Travis committing outrageous acts of debauchery on and off of his gorgeous bike.

  • TIME FOR A CUSTOM BUILD!

This little number is a 1975 Yamaha Rd350b. In its stock form it had a higher power-to-weight ratio than a 412 bhp 2011 Mustang GT. After this significantly overpowered beast was released to the public in 1973, it didn't take long for people to start referring to the "RD" in "RD350" as standing for "Rapid Death" on account of it's fearsome acceleration capabilities (roll-on wheelies through the first three gears.) This little mean-machine is about to get heartbroken.
