This little number is a 1975 Yamaha Rd350b. In its stock form it had a higher power-to-weight ratio than a 412 bhp 2011 Mustang GT. After this significantly overpowered beast was released to the public in 1973, it didn't take long for people to start referring to the "RD" in "RD350" as standing for "Rapid Death" on account of it's fearsome acceleration capabilities (roll-on wheelies through the first three gears.)
This little mean-machine is about to get heartbroken. When we say "heartbroken," we mean, we here at heartbreak cycleworks are going to give it a custom tail, a custom fairing, custom suspension, custom brakes and, of course, a bespoke motor that will put the bike's power-to-weight ratio well into Ferrari territory.
This is the first post in this bike's build thread. We hope you will follow the progress as we go along in our shop's first, true team-build. At the end, will be putting it on eBay to see who loves it the most. Who knows? Maybe one of you will end-up with it...
